Cult of the Reptile God

Fall 591 - Barony of Shieldgate

Investigating the village of Orlane, the heroes uncover the Cult of the Reptile God. Its leader the dread Naga Explictica Defilus has taken over a quarter of the villagers, including for a brief moment Gareth.
Our heroes are aided by the senile Druid Ramney (and his pet whiskers?) and two followers of the druidic ways, the warrior Dorian and the half-elf archer Llywillan.
Among the casualties is the Priest of Saint Merikka, Father Abramo. The 'nun' sister Misha is badly disfigured.

A Witch Hunter Joris-Karl Huysmans and Brother Theodorus, Monk of the Benedictines of St-Cyril, protected by the  deacon soldiers Curwen and Felicien, are sent to Orlane in the aftermath to judge the heretic contamination to the lands. A deal is struct, using ancient canonical laws, to spare the contaminated by forcing the entire village into exile: they will repopulate the devastated northern lands.

Wealsun (VI) 592 - Village of Krenbourg Lady  Ursini rejoins Sister Slainie , Sir  Léssilié , Lord Telinyar and Sir  Cervange at Krenbourg where the King's army have gathered to stop and repulse the invading horde of Iuz . She was successful in her mission, the Drow Egg-Stone now cleansed of the  Mark of the Dark Spawn. It now feels there is life within. The eager and confident army of Furyondy in Chendl With the entire Order of the Hart present, the massive 100 000 strong army is brimming with confidence. Not since the fabled battle of Emridy Meadows 25 years ago has such a host been assembled.  The heroes rejoin young Lord Vesvakis on the extreme western flank. Facing them, Iuz's army is divided into three hosts with Orcs in the center, Goblinoids to the West and Barbarians to the East. Six massive black pillars are hoisted up during the night, the last night of the full moon. At dawn, Iuz begins a dread incantation whose ritual power draws from the 6 pillars.

Furyondy: Invasion

Wealsun (VI) 592 - La Redoute The merchant caravan, with a hundred refugees in tow, makes its way to Castel Elenestra , south of Tusarne . There, a large contingent of  Knights of the Hart (1500 strong) are assembling to head north and stamp out the Goblinoid menace. At the castle the heroes meet a tipsy Bishop Bombakar : the chaplain and his fellow members of the knightly order are celebrating the battles to come. They impress upon him the importance of ransoming young Lord Cerbros Vesvakis , and to make sure the Dragon Horn Akilias is kept in the hands of the church for now. Their price for this information: Telinyar will be allowed access to the Horn. The caravan proceeds to the Redoubt ( La Redoute ), key castle controlling the great North road between Caleport and the capital Chendl. They learn from the old commander of the castle, Lord Gaud Dardilly , that a few elves have been sighted at nearby Erstin Lake , one of which being the Wizardess Mialee . Lord Gaud Dardi

Furyondy Furyondy was founded as the viceroyalty of Ferrond around 100CY, vassal to the Empire of Aerdy. The capital was Dyvres. In 254 King Thrommel founded the Kingdom of Furyondy, including seven great noble houses. Current sovereign is King Belvor IV, born 531. He ruled since early age of 16 (547) following the death of his father Belvor III (who ruled 521-547). Belvor IV is said to be strong, brave and just but prone to fits of impatience. A feudal state, the King rules through the Noble’s Council (7 great houses), the Knightly Conclave (forum were Knights of the Hart are influential, but also powerful clergymen and guilds) and the Council of Four (King’s private council including Archbishop Chesmon and Archmage Karzalin). Ambassadors at court also play a key role in decision making (Veluna most notably). An impending marriage in the works involve Prince Thrommel and the Infanta of Veluna, Princess Jolena, daughter of King (and Canon of the faith) Hazenio II.
